OVERVIEW
Welcome to the Northern Tanzania, the home to the Tallest free-standing mountain in the world, Mt. Kilimanjaro, the famous Ngororngoro crater and Serengeti National Park. This Safari offers an exceptional game viewing in Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro conservation region and first-hand experience at the crater, wildlife viewing at the vast Serengeti National Park, cultural diversity as well as Mt. Kilimanjaro enclosure.
ITINERARY.
DAY 1. ARRIVAL-ARUSHA
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, you will meet the airport representative who will assist you through the arrival process and take you to your waiting driver. He will transfer you to Arusha, Mvuli hotel for 1 night in readiness of the safari adventure starting the following day.
DAYS 2 & 3. TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK.
After breakfast is served, you will check out and embark on the road safari to Tarangire National Park. The Park got its name from Tarangire River that flows through the centre of the Park and form the dry season refuge for wildlife especially elephants. The park is home to threatened as well as endangered species such as ebony trees, Python, cheetah, elephants, African wild dogs, lesser and greater Kudu, Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk and others and Birdlife of about 550 species have been recorded in the park, which is larger number of bird species than the famous Serengeti. Accommodation shall be at Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
Day 4. NGORONGORO CRATER
One of the marvels of the world, Ngorongoro crater is the world's largest intact volcanic caldera, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning scenery and incredibly dense wildlife, often called "Africa's Garden of Eden". Formed by a collapsed volcano, this 100-square-mile basin hosts over 25,000 animals, including the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo) and flamingos at Lake Magadi, offering unparalleled game viewing and a unique blend of wildlife and Maasai culture. One night accommodation will be at Mvuli Ngorongoro lodge.
DAYS 5, 6 & 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
Chances are that you have dreamt of Africa, and when you did, you probably dreamt about the Serengeti. Countless wildlife movies have been recorded in the Serengeti, and with good reason: this is the home of the Great Migration and may very well be one of the last true natural wonders on planet earth. Serengeti National Park is a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife: over 2 million ungulates, 4000 lions, 1000 leopard, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area. explore the endless Serengeti plains dotted with trees and kopjes from which majestic lions control their kingdom; gaze upon the Great Migration in awe or find an elusive leopard in a riverine forest. Also, you may choose to have a bird’s-eye view and soar over the plains at sunrise during a hot air balloon safari. Accommodation for three nights shall be at the Awali Serengeti Camp.
